PRESENTATION OF THE PAPERS

Manuscripts will be sent in digital format (e-mail, CD, floppy), preferable MS Word, font Arial 1.5 line spacing, 10 pt fonts for the main text and bibliography and 9 size fonts for legends, tables, etc.

STRUCTURE OF A FULL-LENGHT PAPER

Introduction: Should be written from the standpoint of researchers without specialist knowledge in that area and must clearly state - and, if helpful, illustrate - the background to the research and its aims. Reports a summary of a search of the literature to indicate why this study was necessary and what it aimed to contribute to the field. The section should end with a very brief statement of what is being reported in the article;

Experimental part: Sufficient information should be given to permit repetition of the experimental work. This should include the design of the study, the setting, the type of participants or materials involved, a clear description of all interventions and comparisons, and the type of analysis used, including a power calculation if appropriate;

Results and discussions: Should be stated concisely and should not normally contain any references. The same data should not be presented in figures and tables. Do not repeat all the data that is set out in the tables or figures in the text; emphasise or summarize only important observations.

The paper should be organised in chapters and subchapters.

Chapter’s title should be written in Arial, title case, 10 size fonts.

The chapters and subchapters should be counted in decimal system, and subchapter should be of maximum 2 subordinate grades for each chapter.

Subordinate titles should be numbered and aligned to the left, ordered as following: first subordinate degree – bold title; second – italic bold; third - italic.

The paragraph indent should be 1 cm left. The lists should be bulleted preferably with dots or lines, and further indented from the paragraphs.

GRAPHICS, FORMULAS, TABLES

The drawings/photos (if no digital format available) should be scanned with 300 dpi resolution and inserted into text (with the description written below the figure).

The plots should have the measurements and the measurement units specified on the axis and separated by comas.

The table format: description (above the table), table header with the columns and rows values and measurement units descriptions.

The formulas and the text, tables, figures, symbols of the variable units etc., should be written with italic fonts; while the figures and symbols like: d, log, In, e etc., should be written with regular fonts.

The formulas/equation count numbers should be written between brackets and placed at the right side of the page, while the formulas should be page centred.

The measurement units should be written with regular fonts between square brackets if follows the measurements or without brackets if follows the numbers.

IS (International Standard) measurements units should be used (ex.: bar not bars; mmH2O not mm CA, kW not KW; s not sec; m3 not cm etc.).

The formulas and figures units should be listed one below the other, together with their measurement units and separated by semicolons.

The table should have the description placed above and the figures should have a legend written below, at 0.5 cm distance from the table or the figure.

Text should be at 0.5 cm above and below the figures (tables, formulas).

Formulas, figures and tables text, as well as the figures legends and tables titles, should be written in the same font style as the rest of the text, but one unit smaller sized (ex.: if text is written in Arial font 10 size, the table etc., should be written in Arial font 9 size).

Formulas, figures and tables should be continuously numbered and inserted into the text. All figures and tables should be mentioned in the text (ex.: „As shown in Table 1 ...") or will be mentioned between round brackets, ex.: (Figure 1).

The bibliography list should be written at the end of the paper, numbered continuously in the order of appearance in the text, ([1], [2]...), and in conformance with the ISO 690 style: books – author surname, author’s name initial, book title, edition number in Arabic numbers (I, II, II, IV ...), volume number, place of publishing, the pages quoted, the year referred at or the first and the last pages of the fragments quoted; magazines: authors surnames followed by the author’s name initial, article’s title (in original language), the magazine number (in ...), the issue’s volume or year (in Arabic numbers), the page cited or the first and the last page of the fragment cited, or the entire article title, as appropriate. If the citation was translated from another language, the translated title should be mentioned, specifying the original language.

If possible, the articles written in English should have the title, abstract, figures and tables, translated into Romanian.

  • The maximum pages number should be 6 pages (including tables, figures and photos);
  • The paper will be published entirely on the author responsibility regarding the patent laws and regulations;
  • The manuscripts, figures, CDs and floppies will not be returned;
  • The authors will be responsible for the technical and scientific content of the paper.
